Solve : The file cannot be played on the specified MCI device?

I have MP3 joiner and SPLITTER 2.8.
When I TRIED to OPEN a MP3 TRACK in the MP3 Splitter Window, I received this error message:
[The file cannot be played on the specified MCI device...]
Please help if you could!
