Solve : The user profile service failed the log in. User cannot be loaded.?

Answer»

This message popped up as I tried to log in today. I have entered the administrator profile (The only one I have) and attempted to create another profile to copy all the files over to. The "Manage another account" had an administrator icon next to it so I expected to have to click a yes or enter my password again but instead there was no prompt. Nothing happened.

I have performed a start up repair with no luck.
I have taken off the password.
I have no idea what to do now. Maybe reboot in safe mode, I'm not sure.

HELP!Hi,

Please follow INSTRUCTIONS from this link. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215

please post back results.Hi THANK you for the help but I have been using this site and was part way through method 2 when I could go no further. When I clicked on "Manage another account" on the "User accounts" window it did nothing. I was on my ADMINISTRATION account and there was a administrator PERMISSION needed icon (Like a shield) next to "Manage another account". I had expected to have to enter my password or click yes on a pop-up box but nothing. HELP! I have attempted to perform a system restore, as I am a novice I did not realize I needed a restore point to exist before I restore it so that solution is bust. I have not rebooted it either. I have most of my files backed up, can I delete the only account?Quote from: blackspindl8 on October 12, 2013, 06:25:17 PM

Hi thank you for the help but I have been using this site and was part way through method 2 when I could go no further.
Did you try Method 3? There is a Microsoft fix it file that can be download and run to fix automatically or you can do it manually if you have problems running the fix it file.
