Answer» Hi Geeks! I suggest you giving up. We try to offer solutions here...Quote from: clleady on July 22, 2009, 06:28:14 AM I suggest you giving up.Nice. I mean, only about 90% of people go away from here with their problem solved....... Quote Though I have activated the "Automatic Windows Update" feature still prefer to seldom visit the Windows update site to have a sneak peek at the latest offering! What does this mean? You enabled the update feature, but you still visit the site? Why? The Windows Update program shows you a list of the updates available.Actually it's 92.3% but most don't come back to let us know so the numbers are kinda skewed...Quote about 90% of people Close (and high) enough. Hi KPAC! & 'Hurry Guy'-Patio! Automatic Windows Update feature only shows the 'Yellow Shield' at the Taskbar & notify about New updates being ready to install. Moreover, navigation to Windows Update site has become undesirably slow than it used to be with IE7!? Is is possible to get RID of IE altogether & then make a fresh/rejuvenated install of IE 8? I have once tried the same but it made a REVERT to IE7! I don't think IE7 can be uninstalled as IE8 uses components of it... What type of internet connection do you have ? ? Try clearing out the Temporary Internet files... Another Microsoft update gone wrong? Shocking! The parallels to Obama just keep on coming. |
