Solve : Tracking Who Has Changed A Workbook?

Answer»

Hi again,

Another one I've just though of, is there an easy way of TRACKING through Excel 2000 who has made amendments to a WORKBOOK? I am on a network where multiple users can access workbooks but could do with a way of tracking who has made amendments, when they were made and if possible what amendments were made?

Thanks

Andy
This article may help: Turning Off Track Changes without Unsharing. Though the title seems the opposite of what you want to do, it REALLY sheds some LIGHT on enabling tracking, too.there are also keystroke recording programs that you can find anywhere.Quote from: fpsmitch on March 26, 2008, 08:24:52 AM

Well, you're talking about something that would track all keystrokes by a user, whether in Excel or any other application; in other words, a key logger. And, that does not save the tracking info in the Excel file, which is what andycov wants to do.thanks again soybean, will take a look
