Solve : Trying to install Microsoft Office 2000 Small Business?

Answer»

Hey!! Back again!!

Been trying to install this Word Program originally came as bundled software with my OS 98.

I am using my XP now. Not sure it is good for XP though. The DISK says:

Microsoft
Windows NT
Windows 98

Does this mean it will not work with XP

Anyway I have been getting error messages that I am missing a DLL file so I found a program and downloaded the Dll file msaddndr.dll I inserted it in windows sys32 but when I try to download the program again it still can not find the msaddndr.dll file.

So, what do I do!

thefonz I usually recommend Open Office at www.openoffice.org. It will read most Word FILES, and doc files. It doesn't yet read the NEW docx format which Microsoft introduced in Office2007.

How was it "bundled"? Do you have the CD for it, a genuine Microsoft CD with valid product key code?

Office 2000 will run under Win XP; even Office 97 can be used with Windows XP.The Microsoft Office2000 came with my 1998 OS 98 when I bought it and yes I have the CD's. with the valid product key code.

Ok my missing .dll files are replaced so it could be that the last time I formatted some .dll files didn't make it.

thefonzI did try 2 times to download www.openoffice.org. but both times the error was that the setup was corrupted.

Open Office 3 beta does, and even in beta stage runs fine on my computer.Thank You it seems that it did download!! I APPRECIATE all your support in this matter and will keep you informend.

thefonz3 beta? Thanks, Broni -- I knew that Open Office was working on docx, but the last I'd CHECKED, it wasn't available.I did some testing with quaxo, and almost everything was working fine. Almost, because PowerPoint was little bit off in Open Office.Quote
