Answer» I have a desktop system USING Windows XP and a laptop using Vista. I have tried to load the software and it won't go past step one on both SYSTEMS. I have tried disabling the AVG and the windows firewall but still no change. HELP!!!Travel to Device Manager and right click the printer and select Remove or Uninstall. Then go to Add/Remove programs and remove the HP software. Power down and unplug the printer. Power up let the machine fully load all startup ITEMS and insert the HP CD and run setup if it doesn't auto-start... It will tell you at what point to hook up the printer...don't do it beforehand.
