I need to reinstall java to play POGO and when I go to java to download it gives me a message that the file is corrupt.  Can you help?  There us an uninstaller available at the Java site that removes it completely...Can you tell me how I get there?Good evening ih8tech

If you can not find the java removal UT you may want to try this http://www.piriform.com/recuva

Then you can download the whole java installation package from here http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/sunjava.html#.UEvsElLg2Co when you are the site scroll down and look on the left side of the page to download it. After you have java installed update it to the newest version to do so open the java control panel and then click on the update tab and you will see the update button.

Hope this helps,Mike Quote from: ih8tech on September 08, 2012, 06:02:27 PM

The listed program is the setup program for Java. It is not part of the installation, it makes the installation.Anytime I try to download anything  the computer says it is unsafe and does not allow me to load.Good evening ih8tech and welcome back

What AV suite do you have (anti virus)?

But I would do a scan with it.

What browser do you use IE, FIREFOX, Chrome etc
What version of the browser(s) do you use. For instance IE8 and or Firefox 13 etc
What is your OS (operating system)

Hope this helps you, Mike   I have IE8 and use IE as my browser

OS Windows 7

I do not know my AV, I have comcast and BELIEVE it is with them.Good evening ih8tech

I would reset IE to the defaults it sounds like your SECURITY setting may have been changed.

Close anyInternet Explorer or Windows Explorer windows that are currently open.

Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Internet Explorer.

Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.

Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.

Select the Delete personal settings check box if you would like to remove browsing history, search providers, Accelerators, home pages, and InPrivate Filtering data.

In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.

When Internet Explorer finishes applying default settings, click Close, and then click OK.

    Close Internet Explorer.

Your changes will take effect the next time you open Internet Explorer.

Then try to download MWB http://download.cnet.com/1770-20_4-0.html?query=malwarebytes&platformSelect=Windows&tag=srch%3Ba&searchtype=downloads&filterName=platform%3DWindows&filter=platform%3DWindows.

Do you remember seeing anything like Norton 360 / McAfee security / Avast internet security items like these are AV suites if see one of these that is your AV
