Answer» Hi, got a miserable problem. HOPE I can get help. I have XP OS. SP3 is downloaded. Couldn't scan docs with HP All in one printer. Kept getting USB not connected message on the printer. Asked someone today what to do. He said go to device manager / delete USB (anything that said USB down at the bottom). I did. Tried the printer again to work. Uninstalled the HP software. Tried to reinstall I get: The Computer does not have the necessary USB software support to allow completion of USB installation. Required action: In order to install this device as a USB device, Please refer to your computer Documentation or USB add-In card doc. Says Requirements: USB Drivers USB HARDWARE. I have HP Compac Presario 6000, RUNNING XP Really appreciate some help. I am pretty SURE I did something wrong! I am novice with PC's THanks Did you remember to re-boot after removing all the USB roots and hubs ? ?
