Solve : Use Windows 95 cd with XP?? |
|
Answer» HI... I just bought a bunch of new "Nine Worlds" hosted by PATRICK Stewart CD-ROMs. (About the planets) They are for Windows 95. Is there any way I could use them on my Windows XP Media Center? The contact site on the case is www.palladium.net...but all that link gets me is a genealogy site. And their 800 number is disconnected. I just hope I can open these interactive Cds.. Is there a way? Thanking you in ADVANCE for any help. My email address is cstarr2rs at aol.com Windows XP has a compatibility function. To use it SELECT the file you want to run as a win 95 file with the right mouse button it will open a pop up menu select properties then from this menu select compatibility mode change mode to win 95 tick box or drop down menu depending on your XP version. select apply. next time you run the file it will be configured to run in win 95 mode.. This work with most files but not device driver for EXTERNAL devices. |
