Hello,

I have just installed Nero Express 6 DVD burning software with my Liteon DVD burner. I have made copies of several disks and now my 80 gig HD is full and I cannot do any more burning.

My problem is that I am unable to locate where Nero has made an image of these dvd's on my HD.

I had about 30 gig's free and now I have 4.2 gig's free.

I have looked and tried everything to find these files and I am still not able to locate them. :-?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jmh500jhm500..... Have you tried LOOKING in Nero saved projects folder .... ( I think thats what it is called .....) or what about using the search feature ......

Yes, I have looked in all of neros saved projects folders and they are all empty.

I have also used the search with every possible combination of search fields and still can not locate these image files.

Right now, I feel that my only option is to fdisk and format my hard drive and reinstall all my app's and O/S and start over again.

I have tried for 3 days to resolve this problem.

Has anybody else had this problem and if so, how were they able to fix it.

JeffAre you sure the missing SPACE (25GBs?) is the result of burning?Make a system restore point and then run disk cleanup removing all of your old system restore POINTS and see if the space returns.

If you use tweakui for xp there is a special folder for cd burning under 'my computer' 'special folders'.Why not just do an advanced search for files over 1GB (or 600MB if you were burning CDs)? That should give you the location.I will try the two suggestions that were given to me.

I did try the advanced search looking for over 1 gig folders and turned up nothing. Maybe I am not using the search feature correctly.

I will report after I'm done.

JeffAre you searching for hidden files and folders, and have you tried unhiding these?I have tried the system restore and the search of large files. Neither effort has helped me get back my HD space. I am looking in all hidden and system files also.

I will keep trying and "hopefully" something will work

JeffDo you use Norton UTILITIES?
The System Information feature allows you to view the size of each folder in a drive.
Sometimes I use it to find the large space eating files.Hello Everbody.

I am reporting that "I finally fixed" my problem. After 6 days of trying to find out why I COULD not find where Nero Express was putting my DVD disk images I, by accident went into Norton's protected recycle bin option and found them all there. I purged the file and got back all of my HD disk space.

I now know that when files are saved under Norton's protected recycle bin feature that these files DO NOT show up under any other search option.

I would like to thank everybody who read this string and will participate in forums in the future.
