Solve : utorrent won't upload/seed? |
|
Answer» I have been using utorrent for years and have never had this problem. uTorrent will download fine, but will not seed anything, whether it be while downloading or after it's finished downloading. The only message in the Logger tab is that rss.dat was damaged/missing but has been recovered. I use Windows XP Service Pack 2. Thank you for any reading. Any help would be appreciated. My Windows Media Player stopped playing my torrent files. It plays the music fine, but my movie (torrent) files wont play anymore. I was watching a movie on it earlier and I clicked on something that I shouldn't have and all of the files stopped working! When my computer detects what happened it gave me this message: Windows Media Player Suddenly Stopped Playing My Torrent Movie Files! Quote from: Geek-9pm on January 16, 2011, 11:27:57 AM There is something going on with Windows Media Player and the use a Torrent media. I don't really understand it. But anybody could guess that MS is trying to sabotage the torrent sites.Much in the same way those *censored* policemen keep sabotaging organized crime, the nerve!Well, there seems to be a bit of confusion in this thread. First of all, Torrent programs are not comparable to organized crime, and Microsoft is definitely not like an officer of the law. Now about the NOT opening post problem - check to see what your browser's default action for a .torrent file is. MAKE sure that it points to opening uTorrent. About the opening post, I have NO IDEA, and suggest reporting the bug to uTorrents developers - only after you've checked to make sure your uploads aren't restricted by your own uTorrent settings you get when right-clicking the tray icon. Simple I know but just checking. (About the second post, the Opening Post is referring to an application, not a website, and to upload traffic to various other users of the program) Also, maybe your internet service provider employs traffic shaping, but I've never heard of anyone completely RESTRICTING any type of traffic... Here is the LINK to the uTorrent forum web site where there are many components (like the CH forums) including faq and chat. It does NOT seem to be a dead site. I would recommend you go there and join the forum as a member and discuss your issue with the members there. truenorth http://forum.utorrent.com/ Quote from: A.A.5 on January 18, 2011, 03:56:45 PM Well, there seems to be a bit of confusion in this thread. My post was somewhat sarcastic. to even suggestion that it is even possible for a application to somehow "know" that a file was downloaded from a torrent site was completely ridiculous on Geek-9pm's part.
