Answer» My mom needs VB .NET 2003 for COMPATIBILITY reasons (online class). We've got all the CD's, but when I try to install the Prerequisites (Framework 1.1), we're getting an error message, saying ANOTHER program needs the computer to reboot. There is no such thing; we've tried rebooting multiple times. ALTHOUGH I found a whole crapload of viruses, removing them didn't change anything. Scanned with Avast!, SpyBot and A2. Nothing's CHANGING. Anyone know how to get around this? HP Laptop WinXP Home SP2 1 GB RAM 60 GB hdd (plenty o' space) Thanks. Crap! I'm getting "out of system resources" ERRORS!Fixed the resources error by restoring HJT backups. I wrestled VB.NET onto the laptop by installing the Prerequisites for all Visual Studio products, taking an extra 1GB. Whatever; installing now.
