Solve : Video Controller (VGA Compatible)? |
Answer» Does anyone KNOW where I can find a driver for this, that won't take forever to download with dial-up?XP has one built in, you shouldn't need to download one. Please explain your problem. I had the motherboard replaced & when I got it back everything was still on here except it has no sound (it says something about the driver) & says the there is no driver for the video controller. I answered you in the other thread. The VGA controller driver and the sound driver will be included in the motherboard driver cd if the graphics and audio is onboard. If you have installed a graphics card, use the graphics card disc to install the graphics driver. i havnt done anything except the motherboard, he didnt tell me abt all of this or the cd that came with it, for all i know he replace everything.. is there a way i can check the models of it all from my computer?Download, and install Everest: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html Open it. Quote from: way.spacedout on March 14, 2009, 03:18:08 PM So he lied to me.. which one is btr over all? broni thank you for your help, i needed it! That Foxconn board is really really old! Like about 2001 - 2002 approximately. The CPU (Athlon 2200 XP) likewise. Did he tell you that you needed a new motherboard? What was in there before? It say a AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 2.20 GHz 1600 MHz. he did say he was going to replace the motheboard and processor.. And he showed you a receipt for a new Jetway motherboard from Newegg? Oh well, that CPU was a bit later than the one you've got now. I hope he didn't make you pay too much. Before, you had a computer which was a fast performer in early 2004, now you have one which was an OK performer in mid 2002. oh, yah. maybe he ordered those for his and made us think it was ours it was like around $80 im going to try to get my money back, not much else i can do.. im so mad right now. |
