Answer» I don't know if anyone can help but I will ask?
I am going to put some videos I own on my Media Play and they are of 720 x 480 res.
Now they look good on my media play and my Media player has an HDMi output so I can watch it on a TV.
A standard TV no HD is 640x480.
I was thinking about saving space on my media player I could compress the VIDEO to one of the templeats. Like Moble Device 480x360 and keep the aspect RATIO at 4:3
Would this look good on a standard TV None HD? Not SURE if I understand what you are doing. My personal experience is whenever I try to convert a video file I get some LOSS of QUALITY.

Why don't you do the obvious thing? (Try it and see for yourself.)
