Solve : virtual pc and virtual memory?

Answer»

hi everyone,
just wondering if anyone can enlighten me more on the difference between virtualpc and virtual MEMORY and also on how to get and install them on my pc.
your help will be greatly appreciated."i am still new to the IT world" THANKsBit more info would be useful - what computer and OS etc.

Virtual memory with Windows is a paging FILE set up automatically as ''extra memory'' for large tasks - but you can change its settings usefully if careful. Otherwise leave well alone. It should be there by default - nothing to 'install'.

I am thinking 'Virtual PC' is some form of emulator but others can enlighten you on that.Virtual PC is Microsoft's free emulator. It allows you to run multiple OSes at once....and Virtual Memory is like RAM that doesn't physically exist. Quote from: CARBON Dudeoxide on July 29, 2008, 09:39:04 AM
