I recently purchased a new computer, a laptop with vista on it and am new to dvd burning and windows media center. I burned a couple DVDS, but a couple movies of mine won't work. Particularly the ones that are .AVI. The ones that are .mpg will burn but the ones .avi keep COMING up with some sort of an error or message saying wrong format or the such. Is there like a plugin for Windows Media Center that will let me burn .avi movies? Or do I have to convert them to .mpg? If anyone can help, it is greatly appreciated. Thankyou allWhere did those ".avi" movies COME from?
Instead of Windows Media Center, try Windows DVD Maker (Start>All Programs).
Check, if ".avi" file is not corrupted USING DivFix: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divfix.html
