Solve : Vista won't run my printers, why not?? |
|
Answer» I have a new Dell and I am using Vista. I have an older Compaq printer and a Lexmark X125 4-in-one. I have the cd for the Lexmark and I have installed it. It says that it is installed and it is my default printer. When I go to Microsoft to look for updates or drivers, it tells me there are none. On Lexmark website it lists my printer and says it is compatible with everything EXCEPT Vista. WHY? If I have the software and it is installed, why wouldn't it WORK? When I try to print, it just goes into que and doesn't print. When I turn my computer off and then later, back on, it SOMETIMES will print something, but not everything in que. I have the printer connected with a USB connection. Please help, I'm in COLLEGE and NEED to be able to print! Thanks. Not all old HARDWARE will be made to be compatible with new systems. |
