Answer» For along time now I have yellow exclamation marks on wanports2,3,4, It only sometimes that it takes a long time to connect to internet via aol so I WONDERING has this got anything to with this niggling problem or is it something else. For years I was aol and changed to taklktalk. though they are the same company the deals was a bit cheaper. Though I am with talktalk I still use aol software, but cannot seem to get any help from them. It is one of those problems that does not affect me all that much, it ought to be working so I want it to, as a 5year old would put it lol
When I check fro the drivers it says I have the right up to date one INSTALLED. I have tried looking on the net but all it tells me to do is download and install Reg-cure, as I have already got tune up, Malwearbites, driver updates, none of them can solve this problem. To the modorators of this site I mut say that I have checked for questions asked on this subject but I cannot remember if anything was found, I have checked that many sites and a lot of it goes over my head, awe the poor old g*t lol So if anyone thinks I am worrying about nothing or can solve my problem please help. Thanks Syndrome Post more info on the PC and we'll have a looksee...do you the specsHuH ? ?Sorry, no wonder you were confused. In ANSWER to the question Post more info on the pc and we'll have a looksee! I should have wrote, do you mean the specs of my computer, SyndromeYes...Patio, thanks for trying to help me. specs: Inspiron 530 Windows 7 professional Intel(R) core(tm) duo cpu [emailprotected] 2.67ghz Ram 4.00gb (3.25usable) 32 bit Service pack 1 I hope that is enough syndromeTravel to the Dell site... Enter the Service Tag # from the bottom/rear of the PC... Select your Win version and all the appropiate drivers will be listed. DLoad and install whichever ones show up as missing in Control Panel/Device Manager...I did what you said but could not find the driver that I wanted. Downloaded their system scan unfortunaley the result came back as I am still on Vista. I suppose this makes any result invalid.
SyndromIf the mini port drivers arent listed i would try a re-install of the MBoard chipset drivers...re-boot afterwards.Sorry for not getting back to you but I have been unwell and I am finding it hard to concentrate I have to try another problem that has suddenley popped up so I will start a new thread if that is allowed
SyndromeOnce again i would like to thank for trying to helpme but I think I will have to close the book on this one EVEN though it is unsolved, I re-opened device manager, the driver is still up to date on it does not give me any information as to it beeing corrupt, but it say's I have a code 10 error. After researching this it advised me to use driver update which I already have on my system, it did not pick the fault up so as confusious would say " yer! what"? Regards, syndromeReference: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/product/inspiron-530 Code: [Select]Application (12) Audio (4) BIOS (3) Chipset (2) Diagnostics (2) Drivers for OS Deployment (5) Modem/Communications (4) Mouse, Keyboard & Input Devices (4) Network (4) Removable Storage (26) Serial ATA (12) Video (18) The list is not easy to understand. To solve just one issue, one may have to try two or three attempts to find the exact driver needed. And they are interrelated. Example, both Chipset and Network are needed to get the right Wan miniport. Thanks every one giving it up as a bad job
