Answer» I am trying to download a 19KB (18,887 byte) file via WGET, but it is taking over 30 seconds (31 seconds to be precise)...the strange thing is, the file APPEARS in the explorer as 19KB (done?) before WGET is finished... Here is how I ran it: wget -q http://services.runescape.com/m=itemdb_rs/*/viewitem.ws?obj=%%a (%%a being a number from a file, extracted with a FOR loop) Is there any other standalone HTTP downloader that works faster than wget?Whats wrong with using your browsers in-built downloader?
