My top preference is for Zone Alarm with Comodo a very close second. Coming first on my list is Comodo Firewall Pro (Pro is the FREE version)Comodo Firewall Pro (Pro is the free version), I was advised to use it long back by CBmatt and I still use it! Its the best that I know of!I use ZONEALARM. I used to pay for ZoneAlarm with Antivirus, but I just use the free version and AVG free for a/v. EDIT: I'm normally behind routers as well. Hi, i use Virgin PC Guard, works well for me. easy to use..Just using Windows firewall, both with WIN XP on my desktop and with Win Vista on my notebook. I'm also use a router connected to my DSL modem. I think that should be mentioned; the hardware firewall provided by the router is one reason I haven't INSTALLED some other software firewall.I use a hardware firewall and no software firewall. I was a fan of Sygate but it's rather out of date now. Have used Comodo and I do like it, but I prefer Online Armor now. |
