Answer» Hi,
i'm trying to install ffdshow and Dscaler on a computer that is not conected to the internet and i get a message that i need directX 9 or higher to connect these two.I downloaded directx9 on a different computer but i cant see it anywhere.Shouldnt it be in the list of PROGRAMS at the control panel? Is it possible to COPY this on a disc so i can install it in the other computer?I believe it's normal not to see that in Add or Remove Programs. To see what version of DirectX is installed, run dxdiag (Start, Run, and type dxdiag in the Open box). When the DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens, look on the tab named System. The last item under System INFORMATION should be the DirectX version installed.
If that other computer is CONNECTED to the Internet, go to Microsoft and get DirectX update; it requires the validation procedure. Or, for an independent download, you can get it at http://www.filehippo.com/download_directx/
