Audacity is a sampler, he needs a sequencer

Try

It's free to download but you HAVE to register it after an evaluation period (ahem).

As for tinkering the ivories, you may have to download VST instruments seperately, here's a guide:

Have fun!Looking for the safest and free site to download music to Ipod Shuffle. I have win xp. Thanks.I don't have an ipod but I had a read up & they support MP3/WAV file formats which gives you lots of options. The only popular format it seems they don't support is WMA (but WMA is easily converted into MP3 with hundreds of free programs like Audicity.)

Firstly, check which formats are compatible with your ipod here.

Then try:

DigitalAudioSearch
AltaVista
SkreemR
AlltheWeb
ez2find

To search for songs you like

Let me know how you get on...The ipod: shuffle 1 gb and the audio provides info for only 2gb so is it the same for 1gb? Still now sure how to do this? The 1gb specs:

http://www.apple.com/ipodshuffle/specs.htmlI am trying to download from EZ-Tracks and it GOES into my temp file but can't get it on my ipod I just visited EZ-Tracks & McAfee warned me that files downloaded from there may be harmful to my computer so I'd avoid downloading from there if I were you...

Have you downloaded stuff before? when you downloaded something, select 'save' instead of 'open' then select a location where you would like to save the file (my music or something).

If you select open, it will go into your temporary folder (C:\Documents and Settings\<your name>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files) and then play.

Try to find another site where you would like to download from & I'll check it out for you before you download anything from there.

If all else fails there's always Limewire...McAfee is warning me against downloading from Limewire as well, so I'm totally confused. Should I go to a safe site and purchase music? It isn't easy finding a NICE clean huge resource of free MP3's, if it were, then nobody would buy any music.

You could find a nice safe site to purchase music from, you could try Limewire (I've never had any problems with Limewire) you could rip CD's or you could try one of those search ENGINES I gave you earlier.

Theres also ways of recording (quite easily) 'what you hear' & saving those recordings as MP3's, useful for saving songs from listening to Lost.FM etc.

What sort of bands/music do you like?

(PLEASE don't say something like boyzone... please please please)This ipod belongs to a family member and I know that Alicia Keys "No One" is a favorite; not sure of others though. I will try Limewire and see if this site is more user friendly than the rest. Let me know how you get on...

Good luckNot quite free...$10.00 for 20 gigs of downloads at Easynews.com. Tons of music, pics, movies etc.try Azureus , contact me personnally for more info
