Solve : What is the best way to get drivers?? |
|
Answer» i normally go to the BRAND site but SOMETIMES it still wont get the right driver for lets say the AUDIO so i use driver magician or my cd that i downloaded with drivers in disk.anyone have good recommendations? Drivers should ALWAYS be obtained from the OEM web site. Quote from: Geek-9pm on July 27, 2010, 03:43:14 PM Driver Defective a Typo that describes the software much better then the actual name. Usually I go to the manufacturer's site. However, some hardware will appear as "Device Unknown", in which case, I go to "devid.info" and copy and paste the Device ID. So it's the URL http://www.devid.info, right? ::fires up a virtual machine to open up this URL, in case it's malware-infected:: Hmmm... .... You know what? Code: [Select] / \ \ ___> \ (__O) \ ([email protected]) \ ([email protected]) \ (__o)_ \ \ \ This is actually pretty dang awesome! http://www.devid.info/en/ Is a OK site. Example. Enter Tosiba PC Card ..and you get a NICE list of possible drivers. That way, it'll only give you the driver you need Quote from: RubiK on July 29, 2010, 02:51:52 AM Or you can copy or paste the Device ID from the device manager. I am missing something here.Sorry for my uselessness but I'm not sure I understand what you need clarifying.. Quote from: Geek-9pm on July 29, 2010, 09:11:46 AM What does that mean?
