Answer» Hello, Windows Built-in firewall along with my router's NATSame here.I am using windows built-in as the posters above me along with Hotspot shield which is ALSO free. I used also spyware terminator in the past but it was a bit tricky to update since i had free version. I see no NEED for home users to use it. I have it on my laptop but also on my desktop too, do you believe it is an overkill when I connect the desktop via a local wireless hub? If so, then I'd enable it (WPA is the better of the two) and then I'd definitely view Hotspot shield as unnecessary for Internet access from a desktop system. Thank you for your meaningful feedback Soybean I will do as you said and remove hotspot from desktop since the hub i access allows for encryption (WPA) EDIT: Typos |
