Answer» My computer was starting pretty SLOWLY the other day in class so in a hurry i put it into safe mode and USED word to type out my notes for that class. Now that i have it fixed and running fine again, IM just wondering what directory Word would have used in safe mode to save the file? Under safe mode i just put it under My Documents as my regular folders (sorted by class, lab, etc.) did not show up. I cant find the document under the generic My Documents folder now, im guessing because i had to log on as Administrator in safe mode (though oddly enough my account should have ADMIN privileges as its the only one on here...). Just wondering how i might recover this file or if i have to go back into safe mode and through it external storage or something? Reboot your PC in Safe mode again. Start word. Look for recent documents. Click on File and the menu should have a thing for recent documents. Or it will show some recent documents in the menu.If you could remember KEYWORDS or title from previously saved word docs, filter them by using Windows search bar in Win 7/Vista by opening Windows Explorer. Or in XP, is the search companion(magnifying glass).you may try "recently opened documents" from MS Word. or you may try using search with search in the content.C:\Users\--User--\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\
--User-- being your compute usernameHave you fixed the problem??
