Been scanning images and SAVING them as jpeg files in Adobe Photoshop 7. But now, the jpeg option is no longer listed under "Format" when i try to save the file (I only see .psd, .raw, & .TIF). I use to see a long list of format TYPES but now it's down to 3. How do I solve this? That's interesting, I just opened a .gif file in adobe photoshop 7 and I couldn't save it as a .jpg?
I then opened the same file with paint shop PRO and the option to save as a .jpg was there?
Maybe you should try scanning in a different file format?
Did it ever do what you're trying to do now?It may have to do with your colour settings or image depth. Sound like you are scanning them now on different settings.

go to: image / mode /
and play around with some of the options.

If lab colour or multi channel is selceted for example you can't save it as a jpeg.

If not that it may be the number of channels.
JPEG only supports certain settingsMonica Grau......I have ran into that problem the odd time ....using photoshop.....when scanning something .....If it won't GIVE me the save as ......jpg option .....then I will save it as a "psd" then open the psd image in Image Composer and save it as jpg.......

My scanner is fairly old and isnt supposed to work with Win XP ........but I found a driver on the Umax Europe site which claimed to fix the compatibilty issue . The scanner works like a charm.....99% of the time........them the odd time it wont let me save as jpg ......so I just do as explained above .
