EVER ... need drivers for the CPU. Quote You shouldn't ... ever ... need drivers for the CPU.Usually, you just put the CPU in the motherboard, and bam, it works. I don't think there are drivers for CPUs at all...Good morning Tazzalol For Intel CPU's there is no driver needed. Some companies did have drivers for some AMD CPU's but this was more of a performance and for correct identification of CPU. Also with Windows XP and before SP3 there was a KB from MS that was needed before SP3 could be installed other wise the PC would blue screen. Maybe you where thinking or heard you needed chip driver. But what you REALLY need is a chipset driver if that is the CASE you go to the manufacture web site and get the chipset drivers, and any other drivers that you need. Hope this helps, Mike Quote from: hartbeatmr on August 18, 2012, 08:09:05 AM Good morning Tazzalol Quote from: sarcasticphoenix on August 15, 2012, 08:30:20 PM Usually, you just put the CPU in the motherboard, and bam, it works.
