Answer» im on windows xp and installed norton internet anti VIRUS . the windows security centre has a firewall and so does the norton . they conflict when they are both on and complain when one is TURNED off saying computer is at risk. its needless for them both to be on and its a conflict anyhow so, wich one is best ? wich to have and why please. thanksIs your computer connected to the internet? I will suggest you GO for norton.How are you connected to the Internet? Thru a router? If so then that router should have a hardware firewall on it. The lesser of TWO evils is the M$ firewall. I've not used Norton ANYTHING for years because I've SEEN too many problems created by their software. Alan <>< Norton of course
