Okay so I ran everst an here's is what it had come up with. I know its rather late but I also need these for use later if I get RAM for it, instead of haveing to borrow it. Also, I want to finish my experimenting an evaluation of this OS.

normally work fine on win7 if installed in compatibility mode...

I thought that would allow for any devices that are xp only to be allowed to use with it till they got drivers made for it. So its like how xp was then.

basically-- what does XP mode have to do with anything? That has nothing to do with drivers, it's an application compatibility setting.

Basically it's exactly the same as all the compatibility settings we've had in all windows versions- the difference with Windows 7 is they add a teensy little change- it dynamically links that program with the windows XP version of uxtheme.dll, in addition to the other compatibility layers. Wow, congratulations, Microsoft, you managed to sweep everybody off their feet with a feature that is already present in windows Vista.
