Answer» ok,I've neglected u guys long enough. I've tried for too long to resolve this and u've always had the answer. I'm running win7 32 BIT trying to go to win7 pro 64 bit I bought w/ product key. I have that on flash drive and burned the image to DVD. Ok so far now I'm lost
My research says that I should clean install w/BIOS, not EFI. (simpler?) Will someone, in plain English, walk me thru this. ThanksI do not know why you are having trouble. It works for me and many others. Have you looked an the stuff on You Tube? Like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PI_UwJoFcU0
Some VERSIONS of 64 bit MIGHT require the new UFI. But I can not find specific info.It needs to be a clean install,,,backup the data you need before proceeding.Hey,
If its just bypassing booting from the cd, and entering straight to your version of win, you'll have to change the boot order so it boots from cd FIRST. You'll need to change the boot order in your bios. If unsure there is a YouTube video for that, tons in fact. I've put a link below, hope that helps.

Meant to say once the boot order is fixed and you manage to boot from cd the vid Geek posted should be fine. so watch the change boot sequence one, then the vid from Geek and you should be up and running. Provided your SYSTEM supports 64 bit OS. Also as Patio said before doing anything do a back up of all your data.
