Solve : Win98se Add/remove programs erased???? |

Answer» I am running win98se, and to my dismay my PROGRAMS are no longer listed in add/remove programs....New installs show up, but currently installed programs vanished!!!! How can i bring them back??They have obviously been REMOVED from the registry by SOMEONE or something. Try booting to DOS, (press and hold the ctrl key while booting). Select "Command prompt only" (Use the arrow keys). At the prompt, type scanreg/restore and press enter. Select a date prior to WHENEVER the problem started. Well scanreg/restore failed twice, no more previous dates to restore from! Any other options? Just out of curiosity, download CCleaner and click on TOOLS. Are your programs listed there? |
