Answer» I purchased a new computer with XP it came with an XP disk if your HARD drive broke and you had to replace with different one you could reinstall Windows, now I inquired about buying a new computer with Windows 10 professional and they told me it comes only with a restore disk per MICROSOFT's policy. My question is if you break your hard drive and need to replace it with a different one can you still get the computer to work with a restore disk?Yes...once Win 10 is INSTALLED to a PC it is registered at MS permanently... NOTE: Changing out a major component such as the MAINBOARD would still require a PHONE call to MS to be activated proper...
