Answer» I am thinking of buying an Acer travelmate P253 with both windows 7 and 8 loaded on the laptop. When I look for reviews of this computer on the UK site it says it is a P253-M with only windows 8 installed.
I live in Australia and this computer comes up with both systems loaded on a P253 (no M after the number) Can I trust this is genuine from the manufacturers? If a computer is refurbished how would you know by going into the SYSTEM, would you be able to tell?
thanks Leigh
Most systems are sold with a single OS licensed. However for a period of time back in the days of Windows Vista, some systems were being sold with 2 keys on the Microsoft Labels for those who wanted to run Windows XP instead of Vista. Legally you can only run one of the OS, and not both.
I haven't seen keys for customer operating system choices yet for Windows 7 or 8 on the genuine microsoft key labels. Microsoft is still pretty firm with forcing PEOPLE to Windows 8 and leaving Windows 7 in the dust for new systems as well as they are offering Windows 8 at a fraction of the cost of Windows 7 to try to get people to go with Windows 8 vs 7. I keep seeing limited time offer deals for $40 for Windows 8 because Microsoft has been having a hard time selling the product.I dont know of any retailers that will sell/ship a PC with dual boot OS's... But your best bet would be to buy a Win7 PC that includes the Free Upgrade to Win8...
It may be different in Australia though...very redundant portion of an online game on facebook. I dont have 2 hrs a day to burn up the (energy) in dedundant fighting in the game to convert it to other FORMS of VALUE within the game so I have a batch file that performs a ping Huuuuhhh ? ?
