Answer» Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 I am WONDERING if someone can help I have reinstalled windows live messenger to try to CORRECT the problem below and have had no luck. When I try to log in I get this error message and I dont know how to or where to go in my computer to fix it. I dont understand how to fix the proxy SETTINGS or how they work. Can someone please help! Our firewall is off! Double CHECK your settings in the main Windows Messenger WINDOW under tools/options....what firewall are you running ? ? patio. 8-)
