Solve : WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 10 ERROR?

I am trying to download songs onto my daughters MP3 player.  I keep getting the error that the media is write protected.  I've gone to eMusic customer service and they are no help.  They told me to uninstall and then reinstall, but that didn't WORK.  Does anyone have any SUGGESTIONS?
