Answer» I am unable to control the video settings in Now Playing > Enhancements. I SEE the video settings controls, but when I MOVE the sliders they automatically return to the center position. Some DVDs are too dark on screen when played in WMP 11, so I want to adjust the brightness. I have XP Home, SP3, EMACHINES T5026.Leave WM(sorry)P alone. Try VLC Player: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/OK I downloaded VLC and it has the same problem with the screen being too dark. The VLC help for this is to turn off video overlay.
I've never ADJUSTED my video card and don't want to change the monitor settings for the card because the monitor is perfect. Can I adjust only the VLC DVD player settings? If I make any change in these settings will it affect the monitor when using other applications like browsing and playing videos stored on my computer?
Is my video card the "Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver" "Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family" listed in Control Panel? If so, I cannot turn off its video overlay, only adjust it. Any advice here?VLC settings won't have any impact on your monitor, or video card settings.
I'm not familiar with Intel on-board video settings, so it'd need some research.
