Solve : Windows XP sound drivers?? |
Answer» Hi, Get the driver for the web site of the sound card manufacturerOne thought! In Device manager, Click on the + sign near Sound, video and game controllers and see sound card listed. if not, it could be listed as unknown device/other device. Right-click on the entry for the "unknown device" and then select "Properties". In the "Properties" window, click on the "Details" TAB and let me know the string displayed under Device ID. For example: PCI_VEN13782 etc. This will help you to find the manufacture and name of the sound card. ANd you may find driver LINKS USING the device IDs May be it helps Hi, Okay. Under "Audio Codecs" it says ROOT\MEDIA\MS_MMACM. Under "Multimedia Audio Controller" it says PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24D5&SUBSYS_B0101462&REV_02\3&13C080C5&0&FD. I think it is Realtek AC 97 Audio, I'm 95% sure it is. If you have the audio build in to your motherboard you can do a search on that and find some of your drivers.Yay! Realtek it was, I downloaded it and everything works fine now! Thanks much, everyone! Justed turned ON email notification for post replies.
