Solve : Windows XP Tasbar Problem. Please Help.?

Answer»

Hello, I have a problem with my taskbar on Windows XP. Whenever I turn on the computer, the taskbar looks like it is in hiding MODE and I cannot scroll it back into normal position without having the Quick Launch feature on or the Language Bar feature on. The Hide Taskbar function is not active. When I do enable the Quick Launch feature, I cannot see the tabs for my programs that are running on the bar ( like the internet explorer tab ).

I also cannot reduce the Quick Launch area ( I cannot reduce it to only three icons ).

PLEASE help me. Can anybody help me please? I really dont know how to help this. What happened before this started?Nothing. I just started up the computer and saw that the TOOLBAR was gone. It was fine the night before this happened.Check the sizing adjustments on the monitor itself and or change your screen resolution by right clicking a blank area of the desktop and selecting properties...

Any little kids around that house ? ?Alright, i'll do that. And no, there aren't any little children.Download ComboFix and save it to your desktop. Run the program and read its disclaimer (it's fairly SHORT) and make sure you really pay attention to what it says. Follow the prompts and when finished, it will produce a log at C:\ComboFix.txt. Go ahead and post that here. Note: Don't click on the window while it's running; this may cause stalls.

This might show us changes made to the registry that COULD be affecting your taskbar. It's not guaranteed, but it's worth a shot. Keep in mind that it will take a few posts to fit the whole log.
