Answer» I am running Windows XP Pro I was having a problem with Windows Media Player V11 a while back and for some stupid reason I deleted all of the "monitored Folders" in the "Add to Library tab" Well i could not get anything to play so I went back to V10 and everything worked just fine. Today I decided to upgrade to V11 and I have the same problem. I have attached a screen shot of what the tab looks LIKE in my media player. I try and add some but it never keeps them. I know that there are some system files that you need.
Does ANYBODY know how I can add these folders back and where they are kept.
Thanks a lot for any HELP
[saving disk space - old attachment deleted by admin]1. Control PANEL > Add or Remove Programs Completely remove Windows Media Player 11
2. Reboot.
3. Re-install from this link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/11/default.aspx Hello Nickc
Thanks for helping... When I un-installed V11 it removed it, but it went back to version 10. Then I re-installed version 11 and I have the same problem. I am wondering if I should totally un-install windows media player....all the versions....Yes, try completely removing all versions of WMP, then reboot, then re-installNickc Thanks I will give that a try...I am leaving TOWN for a couple of weeks so I will try it when I get back... I will let you know what happends.
Thanks again and have a great weekend!
