my video card is a Radeon 9800 Pro and can handle HL2 fine (normally at LEAST) and ATI's site doesnt help at all... i've tried a few from there and they dont change anything. Yeah, so any suggestions? Thanks in advance.Bad drivers or bad download or card needs to be removed and reinserted.Maybe you need to upgrades codecs/

or even your/mobo/psu/ cpu......"bad download" ? and if it is the wrong driver... what's the right one?Download & run Everest Home Edition to find out what video card you have.

Then ARMED with that info go to the video card manufacturer's website & download the LATEST drivers to suit your OS.

Remove the video card entry from your DEVICE Manager, reboot & install your new drivers.

You should also check the game website for fixes & patches. Quote
