Answer» Solution :To get larger magnification of a smaller object, both the OBJECTIVE and the eye PIECE of the compound microscope should have smaller focal LENGTHS. Magnification of the order of 1000 is POSSIBLE with the very good design of the microscope. Such as OIL immersion type.
