Answer» The RATIO of curved surface AREA of a right CIRCULAR CYLINDER to the total area of its two bases is 2 : 1; Since total surface area of cylinder is 23100 cm2 ∴ Curved surface area = 2πrh = 2/3 × 23100 = 15400 cm2 And Area of the base = 1/2 × 1/3 × 23100 = 3850 cm2 ⇒ πr2 = 3850 ⇒ R2 = 1225 ⇒ r = 35 cm And 2πrh = 15400 h = (15400 × 7) / (22 × 35 × 2) h = 70 cm Volume of the cylinder = πr2h = 22/7 × 35 × 35 × 70 = 269500 cm3 |
