1.	The soil in a field in highly acidic. List any two materials which can be added to this soil to reduce its acidity. Give the reason for your choice.
Answer» SOLUTION :(i) LIME (CaO) calcium OXIDE is added to NEUTRALISE its acidity. (ii) Chalk `(CaCO_(3))` calcium carbonate can also be added to neutralise its acidity. This is because both CaO and `CaCO_(3)` are basic in nature which neutralise acid present in SOIL.
