(ii) Retardation of body (from portion `BC`), Fig. `= ("change in velocity")/("time taken") = ((0 - 10))/(16 - 10) = - 1.67 m//s^(2)`. Total distance travelled = Area under the GRAPH `OABC`, Fig. `= (10 xx 5)/(2) + 10 xx 5 + (10 xx 6)/(2) = 105 m` |
