Answer» The ancient mariner was in the middle of a vast sea were he couldn\'t see land even upto the limit of his eye. He was in the middle of the sea with the scorching sun above his head all day long and it is irony to note that he had so much water around him but not a single drop was edible. At that time poet is around the sea and there is water everywhere but it is salty water and hence not good for drinking then poet says "water water everywhere nor any drop to drink". |
