What are dumb switches ? Why are they so called ? |

Also known as "\xa0d u m b\xa0"\xa0switch.\xa0Switched\xa0communication networks are those in which data transferred from source to destination is routed between various intermediate nodes.\xa0Switching\xa0is the technique by which nodes control or\xa0switch\xa0data to transmit it between specific points on a network. There are 3 common\xa0switching\xa0techniques: Circuit\xa0Switching.\xa0Unmanaged switches\xa0simply allow Ethernet devices to communicate with one another by providing a connection to the network.\xa0Unmanaged switches\xa0are truly plugged and play devices, meaning you simply have to plug them in for them to\xa0work. | |
