1.

What are factors affecting the resistance of an electric conductor ? Explain any two factors.

Answer»

Solution :The factors affecting the resistance of an ELECTRICAL conductor are
1. Natural of material
2. TEMPERATURE
3. Length of the conductor
4. Area of CROSS section of conductor
Explanation :
1. As the temperature increases the resistance increases and vice versa.
2. As the material changes resistance changes.
3. Resistance is directly proportional to length of the conductor (if T and A are constant) `Ralpha1`
4. Resistance is inversely proportional to area of cross section (if 1 and T are KEPT constant) `Ralpha(1)/(A)`
