What are metalloids or semi-metallic elements ? Give examples.

Answer»

Solution :Elements which possess properties of both metals and non-metals are KNOWN as metalloids or semi-metallic elements.
In the MODERN periodic table, a zig-zag LINE separates metals and non-metals. The borderline elements such as boron (B), silicon (Si), germanium (Ge), arsenic (As), antimony (Sb), tellurium (Te) and POLONIUM (Po) are known as metalloids or semi-metals.
