What are revolutionary

Answer» The French revolution wars were a series of military conflicts that took place as a result of the French revolution, from the year 1792 to 1802. They are primarily classified into two time periods – the War of First Coalition (1792 - 1797) and the War of Second Coalition (1798 – 1802). Initially confined to the European territories these conflicts expanded to overseas lands as the aspirations of the French republic soared. While popularising the ideals of the French revolution, these wars also succeeded in winning different territories like the Italian peninsula, the low lying countries of Europe and the Louisiana territory in America. These conflicts also lead to the reincarnation of professional armies and the development of ‘Total War’ which categorised all future military conflicts in the world.
