What are the functions of the District Collector in disaster management? |

Answer» Solution :i. The district collector is responsible for pre-and post-DISASTER management as well as implementation of REHABILITATION schemes at the district level. ii. He plans, coordinates and controls the implementation of rehabilitation PROGRAMME, gives out necessary instructions and reviews the entire SYSTEM. iii. He also designs separate schemes for DIFFERENT types of disaster in each district and gets those sanctioned from state-level authorities. |
